Program Enhancements:
- This release contains program and data base content support for z/OS V2R4.
- The SMSVSTAT= keyword now supports a new suboption, ‘D’. Suboption ‘D’ causes volume information for SMS volume status to be included on the DASD free space report detail line for a specific volume, but not included in the overall report totals. See item SMSVSTAT in the MVS/QuickRef R8.4 data base for more information.
- Support was added to permit placement of the virtual excludes file (if used) in the Extended Addressing Space (EAS) on an Extended Addressing Volume (EAV).
- All fixes issued against MVS/QuickRef R8.3 have been integrated into this release.
Data Base Content Enhancements:
- PLEASE NOTE: This is the last release of MVS/QuickRef in which reference content for IBM’s z/OS releases z/OS V1R1 through z/OS V1R9 will be included. Those releases are no longer supported by IBM and have not been for several years. Removing these old releases of z/OS message content will reduce the size of the MVS/QuickRef data base, saving DASD space and reducing data base download times.
